Little tip Hair Extension Maintenance
Like any other method maintaining your hair extensions regularly is important. Natural hair grows, so the extensions will grow down with the hair growth. It is advisable to get the extensions regularly moved up and secured using a new micro bead or micro ring. The hair can be washed as normal. It is also best to get more advice on maintenance from your hairdresser. They will guide you through the proper maintenance plan to maintain your nano hair extensions. Micro Hair Extensions
Micro rings Extensions (also known as micro bead) are the quickest, most natural looking, pain-free and least damaging hair extensions available on the market today. No glue, heat, bond or chemicals are used! Suitable on all types of hair at least 4 inch in length, lasting up to 6 months with the correct after care and re-tightening regime.
Our micro ring hair extensions are applied individually strand-by-strand and are secured to small sections of your own natural hair at the base, about 1cm from the scalp with a tiny, silicone lined aluminium ring. The ring is gently squeezed securing the extension to your natural hair safely, No Glue, bond, heat or chemicals and it takes virtually half the time to fit over other hair extension application techniques.
Depending on the thickness and density of your hair and what your desired end results are, we control the weight of each micro strand hair extension which is pre-bonded before being attached to your hair. This pre-bond ensure that you have next to no hair shedding from the extension itself, which would only add to the natural hair shedding of your own hair, accelerating the need for regular maintenance.
Aftercare for our Extensions
Now that you have that beautiful long thick hair you have always wanted, heres a few things you may need to know.
Your new hair will last between 3 - 6 months, however the exact amout of time will depend on you, and how you care for them.
Following the below guidelines will ensure you get the maximum usage from your extensions. Regular maintenance appointments will keep your extensions looking their best.
You must be prepared to spend longer styling your hair now you have hair extensions, they take more time and effort and will need to be looked after correctly to prolong the life of your new hair. But its worth the extra time and effort.
Your new extensions may cause some discomfort for the first week as you are adjusting to the extra weight and thickness. This could include scalp tenderness, itching or mild headache. The first few nights may also be uncomfortable but this soon passes. In the first few weeks you may lose the odd extension or possibly experience some shedding while the extensions are settling down, but this is normal and does settle down.
Your extensions are 100% human hair, so can be coloured, cut and styled with the use of hairdryers, curling tongs or straightners.
Maintenance is advised every 6-8 weeks. The exact amount of time will depend on how the extensions have been cared for and your own hair growth. The maintenance will consist of moving all strands back up to the root, putting back in your lost strands, replacing any microrings where necessary and general tidying up of all bonds.
Do’s and Don’t’s
Do Brush your hair extensions on a regular basis to ensure they do not matt
Do Ensure you thoroughly rinse all traces of shampoo and conditioner after washing your hair
Do Invest in a good extension brush and an extension detangling comb
Do Be extremely gentle with your extensions at all times
Do Keep extensions tied up during swimming (both pool and sea) , if you do get your hair wet you must ensure you rinse out any chlorine or sea water as soon as possible as they can cause your extensions to dry out, in the same way they dry out your own natural hair.
Do Tie your extensions back at night, prefferbly a loose plait or pony tails to minimise any tangles in the morning.
Dont tie your hair back to tightly, this can pull on the bonds causing them to weaken.
Dont put conditioner onto the roots of your hair
Dont use any of the following:- , Hot oil, Anti-Dandruff Shampoo or Head lice treatents, these are extremely harsh and can cause damage to the bonds of your extensions causing them to loosen.
